Leslie Mittelberg is dedicated to educating and improving the livelihoods of members of rural African communities. To that end, her artist group does product development work in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique, South Africa, Ghana, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso and Sudan, as a member of the Fair Trade Federation. These love baskets were created by members of her group in Senegal.
