We met over 35 years ago while pursuing advanced degrees in fine arts. Our lives crisscrossed for a while until we joined forces to operate a small pottery together. We were ill-equipped to manage a business, but managed to survive for about 8 years peddling pottery at craft fairs, consigning, and selling wholesale to gift shops.

This was all very exciting, but we barely survived. We had slipped into a lifestyle diet best described as anything “4 for $1”. We clearly jumped into a business without a good business plan in hand. We realized we needed to close the pottery, change universities, and take day jobs until we were better prepared to try again.

Fast forward to 2008 and the perfect storm…a business plan in hand, university degrees in business management, a well-equipped pottery studio, advanced pottery-making skills, more practical and healthier diets, a fur-baby family, a new home with enough space for a studio, and Etsy!

We are delighted to present you our handmade specialties. Every piece is made from wet clay and glazed in colorful, and thoroughly-tested glazes. Our materials are food safe and locally sourced. We electric-fire to manufacturers’ recommended temperatures using reliable and carefully monitored firing programs.
