Biography

Precious Metals, Gemstone, and Cloisonne Jewelry

From the time I was a small child I was obsessed with making jewelry, whether it was stringing glass beads, making beads out of fimo clay, and making earrings and pendants with friendly plastic. I took my first silversmithing class when I was sixteen and I know right then that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After attending college at Savannah College of Art and Design and completing an apprenticeship with a Cloisonee Enamelist and a very skilled Goldsmith, I decided it was time for me to go out on my own.

I started my etsy shop five years ago when I moved from Georgia to Santa Barbara, California and began to build my life out here, focusing mainly on my business. I began making production rings out of silver and semi precious stones. My shop really flourished from the beginning, and thanks to years spent making bezels and bands for production work, I was able to crank out orders as fast as they came in! Eventually I began to incorporate 14k gold, making rings that had silver bands and gold settings. I love working with gold and slowly I started using more gold and less silver. I have always been in love with rose cut stones, especially diamonds, and they have became the main stones that I use. I recently made the decision to move back to Georgia and am finding new inspiration around every corner. I loved living in California, but I am so happy to be back in my home state.

My favorite projects are custom orders. I love working with a customer to create a unique and one of a kind piece of jewelry that they truly cherish. I work mainly in 14 and 18 karat gold, but I also enjoy working in silver. The focus of most of my pieces are the gemstones. I hand pick each stone I use, weather it is for a production ring or a unique one of a kind piece. I see the metal work as the frame for these stones, and design each piece so it showcases the stone in the best way possible. My work is simplistically elegant, and each piece is lovingly handcrafted by me, from start to finish, in my little studio.
