Handmade Shoes & Boots

I have always loved shoes.  I remember as a child rummaging through mums huge box of shoes and wanting to try them all on. After graduating from high school I began studying fashion at Marleston TAFE SA. I soon discovered I was into creating my own unique designs and not follow the fashion trends. I stayed on at marleston and studied Footwear completing my studies in 1995. During this time I gained the Trade Certificate and Advanced Certificate in custom made and costume footwear. I sold my first pair at our graduation exhibition. It was a court shoe that looked like a fish. To gain more expertise I attended shoe making classes with Tim Skyrme a well known shoe maker in SA at the time. I now have my own business making handcrafted leather shoes/boots, made to measure.
