Born in Southern California, inspired by the tough and resilient streets of Bedford Stuyvesant NY, we opened for business in a small converted warehouse / design studio a short distance from Downtown Los Angeles nearly twenty years ago in 1995. Over the years we have grown into a diverse, creative, and fiercely independent group of people with shared passion, purpose, and pride in the products we make. Our love for heritage and tradition, authentic time tested shoemaking techniques, and artisan crafted finishes are the foundation for what we have come to know and understand as doing things the “Bed Stu” way. The unapologetic line of footwear and accessories we make is like each member of the Bed Stu Family: Genuine, Unique, Imperfect.
