BB Becker Inspirational Jewelry
Falling in love prompted my first attempt to make jewelry in the mid-1980s. I found used pieces to deconstruct and reassemble into gifts for my future wife. Today’s BB Becker designs are a collaborative effort as the image of my wife’s handwriting is individually engraved on each piece.

My Tai Chi practice for 35 years (20 a Master) inspires design elements. The spiral movements, flow and balance correlate to my jewelry’s smooth, clean lines; and sterling silver’s lasting purity coincides with the generational passing of centuries-old Tai Chi.

Every design begins with words, often found in out-of-print books. I look for inspiration and truth but also a melodious quality. I carry the written sentiment in my pocket until meaningful sound and good design evolve.

What motivates a kid from the Brooklyn projects to become a jewelry designer? When the work day is too long, I focus on “Healing the World with Words” and this gives my life purpose.
