Monterey County Artists Studio Tour
September 25-26, 2010
11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Artists throughout Monterey County are opening their studios to the public and invite you to visit. This is a free self-guided tour, and promises to be fun and inspirational. There will be an opening at the Pacific Grove Art Center on Sept.10, 2010 from 7 PM till 9 PM. There will also be a Gala kickoff opening at the PGAC on Sept. 24, 2010 from 7 PM till 9 PM with refreshments and a fantastic raffle. Twenty-seven steps up to art...
The purpose of the Pacific Grove Art Center is to educate the public in art appreciation and stimulate interest in art; to display all types of art to the general public on a non-discriminatory basis; to hold art classes, lectures, forums, exhibits, music concerts, and other educational functions for the general public; to provide art shows and exhibits which the public and school children can visit to continue their education in art and culture; and to promote the exhibition of art, with special emphasis on the encouragement of local artists.
Community outreach is the main focus of the PG Art Center. We accomplish this by providing free exhibits, occasional concerts, poetry readings, and lectures. We also rent space at the Art Center for appropriate special events.
