Because they are hollow they are very light, about 2.5 grams each, about .08 ounce. They move easily as the wearer moves and have a brush finish which catches light from all directions. Silver & Wood Necklace: This necklace features a lathe turned ebony pod inlaid with studs of silver. The central pod is flanked by four fabricated silver hollow forms with a heavy brushed finish. Wood, Silver & Pearl Earrings: Earrings, lathe turned ebony with inside curvature. The ebony is about 3/4" long with 12 silver studs around the rim. The top is flat, about 9/16" diameter with a silver brush finished disc and 1/8" silver bead. The silver ear wires are threaded at the bottom so they screw securely through the ebony wood and attach the disc and bead. They are also glued. The bottom of the ebony has a 3/32" cultured pearl and 1/4" silver disc, both attached to the wood with threaded silver and glue. The total length of the earring, including ear wire is 1 1/8".
