Because I'm on a gardening kick right now, garden decor is on my mind. And, of course, with me that means handmade garden decor. My
collection Handmade Garden Decor and Furniture is very popular, so I've decided to add on a few pieces that recently got my attention.
[UPDATE: If a piece has sold, you can click the image to view additional pieces by that
artist.]

This
weather-proof stained glass panel, Homage to Absinthe, is a wonderful way to bring a bit of art to the garden. I can see it with flowers or
native grasses at the base. And I can also see it providing the only color in a yard covered with snow. It will create a new show everyday as it
casts interesting and ever-changing shadows and reflections in response to the sun's path through the hours of the day and seasons of the year..
It's 11-1/4" wide by 12" high with 6" brass legs that are pushed 2-1/2" into the soil to anchor it (bringing its standing height to about
15-1/2"). It was created by Feral Glass in Tulsa, Oklahoma. $134

This wheel thrown stoneware garden seat, Temmoku & Yellow Pours, is designed for outdoor use, but its creator, Michael Jones, recommends you bring it inside during winter. The stool is 20" high by 14" in diameter and is based on a
traditional Chinese form. Its integration of artistry and functional purpose reflect the influence on the artist of living with his family in
Japan as a youth. He says they were all "deeply moved by the ways in which we saw elements of the natural world being integrated into the art,
architecture and general culture around us." The natural quality of the poured glaze on this piece seems to speak directly, effectively, and
beautifully to that influence. $675

I guess it's no secret that I like buddha statues. I already included two sitting buddhas in the original garden decor collection,
but this resting buddha is so serene and peaceful I couldn't resist including another one here. This resting buddha is made of
cast stone with an antique finish and is 11" x 9" in size. Designed for outdoor use and handcrafted in Indonesia, it's available from Buddha Groove for $85.

This lovely hanging basket is made of
recycled cedar wood. It's about 8" x 8" and hangs from black nylon cords. It would be beautiful hanging in the patio, on the front porch, on from
a tree branch as shown here. It's available from Andrews Reclaimed, in
Seattle, Washington, for $31. [SOLD]

This bright yellow and orange hammock is like a burst of sunshine in the garden. Whether it's in use as a gently swaying resting
place, or hanging empty between trees or on a hammock stand, this piece of Brazilian artistry will bring color and style to to your garden. And
it's big and strong: At 145" long x 65' wide, it will support weights up to 400 pounds. It's hand finished by hammock artisans in Brazil and is
available from Novica for $114.
