New York NY Website The Bonbon Story: Brooklyn NY designer Deborah Stein launched Bonbon Oiseau’s first collection in 2004. Her distinctive limited edition designs have been creating a buzz amongst fashionable women around the world. Deborah’s background as a painter and her extensive world travels, have breathed a unique perspective and a sophisticated visual and cultural vocabulary into her work. Deborah spent two years in India with a toymaker family working with miniature objects. She traveled all over the country uncovering the stories and techniques of traditional artisans around India. It was here she took notice of countless expressions of adornment and developed her passion for handmade and recycled techniques. Deborah’s fascination with visual story-telling, exotic antique materials and the eccentricities of nature has led to her beautiful off-balanced designs. Working alongside with her small staff of artisans, the results are the beautiful hand-touched designs you'll see season after season. |
